We are accepting nominations on the honor system now as we work to automate this part of our website further. Spend at least $10 at www.turtleuniverse.com to nominate a project. It does not have to associated with a nonprofit group, although it does have to help more than one person or turtle. To make a nomination, click the "create a review" link and fill in the form.When you hit the submit button it comes to our review team. We'll add it to our site if it meets the requirements outlined in the irresistible offer link on the right sidebar. Donations on World Turtle Day  May 23, 2009 will correlate directly to the votes received for a given project. Two free votes are given to site visitors who sign up for the turtleuniverse mailing list. Please note, we will not sell your name or email contact info (see privacy policy). The mailing list will be used exclusively to keep you informed about the community of interest initiatives and votes a given project receives.

Marty Lapree has given over her garage and most of her backyard to the care and rehab of injured wild turtles and a home for for turtles and tortoises that have been given up by people.It takes a lot of money to feed and care for the many chelolians in her care. In these hard economic times she is not getting as many donations. Indiana Turtle Care is a 501c operation. Her e-mail is zooperior@comcast.net
